The first vineyard was established in 2013 by Panos Jimas at Kalomodia village area, a few Kilometers away from Ambracian Gulf and Arachthos River Estuary. The grape varieties of this plot are Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
The winery was established in 2019 by Panos Jimas and his wife Kristy Karagiannidou at their family grange in the heart of Kalomodia village. The winery is next to their country house, surrounded by gardens and an old citrus grove, planted by Panos’ grandpapa.
In 2020 family began an expansion of the vineyard area in Ambracian Gulf. The vineyards area reached the 2.1 hectares and the principal varieties are Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Vertzami (black Greek indigenous variety).
Since 2021, JIMA manages vineyards in collaboration with devoted vine growers from the villages of Zitsa Municipality. This area has a long history in vine growing and the two important indigenous grape varieties are Debina (white) and Vlahiko (black).
In 2024, a single vineyard of 7 hectares was added to JIMA portfolio. The vineyard, part of Anagnos School grange, is a few meters away from the Konitsa city central plaza. The Alpine environment is ideal for vine growing. Gewurztraminer, Debina (White), Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Vlahiko (Black) and Merlot are the varieties of this vineyard.
